Suitable grade: K3 to Primary School
Number of students: 4 - 6 students
Speaking and Listening is suitable for intermediate and advanced level English students. Each lesson is based on a different topic and is divided into two main parts. The first part consists of speaking activities such as group discussions, role play games, presentations and debates. The second part consists of listening activities such as songs, worksheets, colouring games and watching educational videos.
This lesson is to ensure that students develop the confidence to become effective speakers and listeners in order to meet their future needs in social, academic, family and community contexts. Speaking and listening helps students to understand the different functions of language, become familiar with the use of specialised vocabulary and concepts, gain an insight into the behaviours associated with different contexts, and understand why they occur, internalise the models of language, eventually using them to construct their own speech.
